The Sack of Athens took place some ten thousand years before the unification of the Russian Kingdom and Athens. The sack was actually a burning of the city of Athens by Gainese forces. The Big Book of Ancient Gabanian Fables mentions the sack of Athens on Book LXV. The city suffered tremendous casualties and the Great Temple of Athena was burnt from the inside and looted. It took three hundred years for the Athenian peoples to rebuild their city and temple.
