Annum Nova, litterly translates to New Year is the largest celebration of the year. A year on Gaban can take three Earth years and waiting that long for a new year becomes a big celebration. The Celebration is held every January 1 of the New Year. Each year people crowd into the City streets of the Planet to celebrate. This is also a religous celebration giving thanks and blessings to the Godess Athena. A popular activity at this celebration is to throw fireworks in the year and gaze into the stars with their Telescopes

No one for sure knows when the first Annum Nova celebrations began but have been a major celebration for the majority of the planet ever since. Annum Nova is one of the largest Religious Celebrations of the year which are dedicated to all the Gods and can last an entire week in total.
